Acupuncture is a powerful, natural way to treat many conditions. It addresses the root cause of the issue and works to bring balance to the entire body, whether that be physically, mentally, or emotionally. Research has made proven that it is effective treatment . Often, we integrate acupuncture into a patient’s current treatment plan for a complete, synergistic approach to healing.
We practice traditional Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Our therapist are trained and certified. We work alongside healthcare practitioners : we look at scans, blood test reports etc to provide a truly thorough consultation and treatment. In this way we work as integrated medicine practitioners.

What is acupuncture and how does it work?
Acupuncture involves placing very fine, sterile, single-use needles into specific points on the body. It is used to help manage pain and support general wellbeing. It is thought to work by stimulating nerves and muscle tissue, which may encourage the body's natural pain-relieving processes.
Does acupuncture hurt?
Most people feel little more than a slight pinprick, followed by a dull ache or tingling as the needle is placed. The needles are much finer than those used for injections. If you feel uncomfortable at any point, please tell your practitioner.
What can acupuncture help with?
Acupuncture is commonly used for musculoskeletal problems such as back, neck and shoulder pain, and for tension headaches. Your practitioner will discuss whether it is likely to suit your needs and will be honest with you about what to expect.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your symptoms and how long you have had them. Some people notice a change after a few sessions, while longer-standing problems may need more. Your practitioner will suggest a plan at your first appointment and review your progress as you go.
Is acupuncture safe, and are there any side effects?
Acupuncture is considered safe when carried out by a trained practitioner using sterile, single-use needles. Minor effects such as slight bruising, soreness or feeling drowsy afterwards can occur. Please let us know if you are pregnant, take blood-thinning medication, have a pacemaker or a bleeding disorder, or are unwell on the day.
